Under the Floor
Under the floor was very dry, and not scary than I imagined. There wasn’t a dead body of any kind, only a snake skin I found. Under the section where carpenter worried was very damaged, but still strong enough for him to stand. The most damaged was a chestnut tree that are known to be a very hard wood. Must be yummy. It amazed me that many of the woods are not straight cut, and it just sitting on a big rocks that are placed in perfectly to fit. Therefore we can’t really replace them, except few.
We did termite chemical treatment all over, and dried it. Then mortar on the bottom, metal brackets to support each beams, then added another layer of woods to screw floor boards on. Then I worked on the floor boards myself with my family’s help!
