Of course the first thing I check when I look for the house is, if there is a space I could occupy as my studio. This new old house we found has a traditional Japanese storage called Kura (蔵). It’s made with thick dirt wall to protect your belongings/ treasures ;-) from weather. It is supposed to stay cooler in the summer, and warmer in winter. So this is it! I will share my journey to transform this Kura to my cozy studio little by little.
